Rick Heilshorn, CEO & Founder
Rick brings multiple degrees in engineering and business, with extensive experience in manufacturing turnarounds and quality leadership. As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt earned at Honda, Rick led quality initiatives across North America, developing the methodology and domain expertise that became the foundation for Mad-Ai.
His experience spans automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and aerospace manufacturers, giving him firsthand insight into the quality challenges Mad-Ai was built to solve. Rick founded Mad-Ai two years ago with a clear vision: to transform quality management through specialized AI that understands manufacturing realities, not generic chatbots that require extensive prompt engineering.
Rick's leadership philosophy centers on empowerment: providing manufacturing teams with tools that eliminate repetitive work, preserve institutional knowledge, and enable professionals to focus on strategic value creation rather than administrative burden.
Michael Rapaport, Board Advisor
Michael is a seasoned operator with over 30 years of experience scaling enterprise software, data, and cybersecurity firms. His career is highlighted by four successful exits and a proven track record as a CEO, COO, and CRO for venture-backed and PE-owned businesses. Most recently, he led IQS through its 2017 acquisition by Cority, delivering complex quality management solutions to tier-one manufacturers.
