What I'm Bringing to the AIAG Stage This Year
A week from now I'll be presenting “Digitizing Quality Engineering Execution with AI” at the AIAG Quality Summit in Novi, MI. Here's the actual argument, ahead of the slides.
The Claim I'm Making
General-purpose AI doesn't give a quality engineer a second opinion. It gives them their own opinion back, with better formatting and more confidence. Your best engineer gets amplified by that. So does your weakest — and most quality departments can't currently tell the difference between the two outcomes, because both come back looking like a polished, professional document.
The Study Behind It
We ran Reasoning R&R™ — a measurement framework built the same way you'd qualify a gage — on our own 8D grading workflow. 2,370 individual grading decisions. 93.2% repeatability. 99% reproducibility between two reviewers. I'll walk through the method, not just the headline numbers, including the two things the study caught that years of normal use hadn't: twelve ambiguous criteria and one input format that was silently failing to reach the model.
If You're Going to Be in Novi
Session is 1:30PM, September 23rd, Platinum Ballroom. We'll also be running the Quality Suite live at Booth #240 both days. Bring an actual 8D or PPAP rejection and we'll show you what it catches, no canned demo.
